Quincy Quarry Weekly Fish Wrap:  “School’s Out For Summer!”

Today marks the end of the school year for Quincy’s public schools.

Accordingly, students are rejoicing, many parents are surely laying in extra supplies of libations and one would like to hope that the Quincy Police Department is preparing for an uptick in delinquency.

And while it has been a relatively quiet week in the Q – so far that is, there has been some local news of note.

Much needed facilities

For example, staging for construction of the second and at least $15.7 million construction phase of Quincy Center’s expected to eventually cost upwards of $30 million in total Kim Jung Koch Plaza has commenced and so is setting the stage to inflict the next round of inconvenience for long-suffering Quincy Center.

On the other hand, the Koch Maladministration may have finally – at least temporarily – addressed a long pressing need to provide much needed facilities to Quincy Square even if this latest quick fix in Quincy Center is not ADA-compliant.

Keytar in action

Unfortunately, however, those who are hoping for other shoes to drop in the wake of last week’s conviction of Quincy’s double and sometimes even triple police detail dipper are going to have to continue to wait.

But not to worry as Quincy Quarry informant “Deep Detail” has set the odds for more to follow as the smart bet for patient bettors to make.

And for another bright note in the meanwhile, Boston’s beloved and loveable busker Keytar Bear is back to performing on the unfortunately sometimes mean streets of Boston.

After all, the show must go on!
