Quincy Quarry Weekly Fish Wrap: Turkey Day leftovers!

While one would think that this week would be a quiet news week in the Q, au contraire.

For the second time this month, Quincy Mayor Thomas P. Koch was yet again hit this week with a “disgorgement” order given yet another batch of  illegal campaign contributions.

Disgorged, yet again …

This is the fifth time Mayor Thomas P. Koch has been ordered to give up illegal campaign contributions in less than a year.

Even more troubling, Mayor Koch has been named as a recipient of illegal campaign contributions in four of the eleven more serious “true source” illegal contributions cases administratively adjudicated by the Massachusetts Office of Campaign and Political Finance in the past two years.

Koch was also whacked with another disgorgement order wherein the Office of Campaign and Political Finance opted to go along with the illegal contributor’s claim that he did not know that he was making an illegal contribution.

In any event, Quincy Quarry fully expects that Mayor Koch will likely be hit with even more problems over suspect campaign contributions in the coming weeks and months.

The QQ crew in action

In the meanwhile, the hardworking crew at QQ will be cover the Q round the clock over the Thanksgiving weekend.

For example, Quincy Quarry will have its crack-addled sports editor on the scene today at Quincy’s Veteran’s Stadium to cover the eighty-fourth annual Turkey Bowl and wherein the loser at today’s game will be the de facto biggest loser at least South of Boston.

As always, Quincy Quarry continues to cover the news of the day in the Q as no other news media has the stones to do.

More importantly, everyone on the Quarry crew hopes that all of its growing legions of loyal readers enjoy an enjoyable Thanksgiving.

That and Washington at least covers the spread against the Dallas Cowboys in today’s late NFL Thanksgiving Day game.
