Our military media brethren at Duffle Blog report that Department of Defense Tax Centers were overwhelmed after alcohol was declared a “work-related” expense for military personnel and thus tax-deductible for those filing itemized tax returns.
Given publication deadlines as well as not wishing to perhaps so invalidate a good gag of a story during tax season, Quincy Quarry did not reach out to Internal Revenue Service to find out if alcohol expenses will also be accorded with similar deductible expense status on civilian tax reports.
